National Blog Posting Month - Take 3 (or is it 4...?)

It's that time of year again. Is everyone ready? November means it's National Blog Posting Month, aka NaBloPoMo. I've been doing this since 2007, so it'd be a shame to drop the ball at this point. I did almost forget today, as the time stamp from this entry suggests, but I will endeavor to persevere from now on. One post, every day, for each day in November. And.... GO!

With the end of October comes raking season in the city of Roseville. As always, my parental units requested my help with this epic task. As may have been mentioned elsewhere, we are a well-honed team of three. Here now, a photo montage of our efforts:

The trees were looking pretty bare, and the city has a very specific deadline, so it was clearly prime raking time.

The backyard before we started, featuring the somewhat giant branch that fell from the cottonwood during Hurricane Minnesota (tm Gino).

Mom standing amongst our many, many piles in the backyard.

A couple of the piles on our trusty blue tarp. It's been our partner in leaf-raking for at least a decade and is indispensable in moving the leaves from the backyard to the pile in the front yard. We're a well oiled machine.

The backyard after we completed our epic task. It's a very tangible sense of accomplishment.

The To3 in front of the slightly-less-giant than usual pile of leaves. It did not in any way lessen our sense of a job well done.

I've got some other photos from recent events, but I need to save those up if I am truly going to blog each and every day this month. In the mean time, if you are so inclined, you can look back at my past NaBloPoMo efforts, both here on Blogspot and on Xanga.

It looks cold. Nice job on the leaves.

Thanks for the great photo montage. It was actually kind of fun and definitely satisfying--as usual. And who does not want to be part of a well oiled machine?! I look forward to your daily NaBloPoMo posts.
