Pray for Paris

Given the terribly sad and senseless news out of Paris today, I decided to forgo much in the way of actual blog content and instead post some of my favorite photos of my trips there over the years. So here they are, in roughly chronological order:

We all visited Laurent's brother's home just off the Jardin de Luxembourg. 2006, while I was teaching.

My beloved parental units in the Tuileries Gardens, 2006.

Mom being really excited about her coasters at Harry's New York Bar, 2006.

Rodin's The Thinker, with the spire of Les Invalides behind it.

My favorite elevator photo, 2010.

My traveling companions, 2010.

Place de la Concorde.

My (now) brother-in-law Brad, 2011.

Andy and I at the top of the Tour Eiffel, 2011.
Ok, off to snuggle with my husband and the cats and think of happy things. Bon courage a tous mes amis francais.

Oh, Emily, the pictures brought tears to my eyes. SO many happy memories for you and your dad and me and Jim and your new family from Paris. It is so sad and tragic. Thank you for this post. Now I am feeling more sad than angry and may be able to sleep. Love you.
