Brad & Lily's Wedding

I realize now that the wedding of my brother-in-law Brad never made the blog. What a massive oversight! I spent all that time talking about our road trip to Andy's cousin's wedding, and yet nothing about the members of his family we are closest to. Shame on me. So, without further ado... the wedding took place in Aspen, CO over Memorial Day weekend. Andy went a day or two earlier than me as his best man duties required some advance assistance. I arrived on Friday, flying into Denver with my in-laws, Lois and Keith. We rented a car at the Denver airport (in the rain, boo) and then drove the 3 or so hours to Aspen, through some unbelievably beautiful mountain country. Not a drive I'd want to do in the winter, as there was still snow in places on May 22nd! A Typical Evening at Home

It's officially the half way point of our month-long blogging adventure, and this is usually the point at which I hit the wall in terms of blogging ideas. Anyone else? Particularly during the work week, I just don't have a lot of blog-worthy material. Such is life. That's why NaBloPoMo is a challenge. Today was one of those days where I just went through the day and nothing particular of note happened. Went to work, went to the gym, and then home for a typical evening. Andy made one of his signature dishes - a non-fried Sesame Chicken dish that is quite excellent. I may have to post it to the food blog at some point. I'll just take photos of Andy while he's cooking. That wouldn't be weird, right? Calvin tried to help read the cook book: He was more of a hindrance than a help but he's so cute we just couldn't bring ourselves to mind all that much. OOTNNDITHD

Today was decidedly one of the nicest November days in the history of days, as Gzmoohoo would say. Andy and I had plans for this afternoon, so we decided to take advantage of the unseasonably warm weather this morning and take a short bike ride. Here's me, all dressed up and ready to go: It was a bit too chilly that early and we were under-caffeinated, so we biked over to a coffee shop along the river. I do love a latte now and then. But, as Andy noted, "Do people really pay this much for coffee EVERY day?" Also, it turns out we were not the only people in Minneapolis today who had this idea: It was a beautiful morning to be outside and we enjoyed every minute of it. Though we didn't get in a huge amount of miles, it was nice to get in a bit of exercise before our afternoon plans. Andy's parents will be out of town on Thursday, so they had us and Andy's brother (Brad) and his girlfriend (Lily) over for a late lunch. Brad & Lily br
